how to replace a brake line

how to replace a brake line
replaced the line over the rear on the 90 f 250 today, and thought Id take ya'll along for the ride.
find the leak
remove the line ends
open the clamps
set up the tools, measureing tape, magic marker, cutter, and flareing tool kit. remember that brake lines require a double flare
set the line you removede next to the new one
measure the 1st bend
make mark on new line
place center of bender on mark, and bend
continue this process untill all bends are made. the line is too long at this point, so measure, mark, and cut it with the tubing cutter. do not use a hack saw, it will leave a rough edge
set up the flaring tool, with the double flare adapter in it
remove the adapter, and flare it again
flare should look like this. if it has any rough edges, clean it up with some emery paper, make sure to blow off any dust
put line back on, use care to keep it straight when starting it, or you will cross thread the brass, and have to start over
tap the clamp lightly with screwdriver handle to lock in the line
hook up other end, and clean off all spilled brake fluid with brake clean
bleed the brakes, I use a clear tube into a clear jar, so you can see the bubbles.
check for leaks, if none, your all done. thanks go out to Bud & Jr for help in makeing this thread
