337 pictures / parts info wanted
Fifteen years ago I got interested in building the "ultimate" vintage correct Ford pickup. I really like flatheads and 48-50 pickups. With the aid of the factory shop manual and James K. Wagner's excellent Ford Truck book I came up with the idea of sticking a 337 into a F-2 or F-3. I purchased a 337 from a '49 Lincoln, a 3/4 ton pickup and didn't ever put the two together. I eventually sold the truck and the two parts engines I had acquired along the way. At the beginning of this summer my father and I purchased another F-2 and it turns out the engine is bad. Well, I still have that old 337. I'm not as convinced this is a good idea as I was fifteen years ago when I was in high school. Can anyone provide pictures and or measurements of the following for me? Hight, width, and placement of the radiator in a F-7 or F-8 air dam placement and size in front part of hood that sits over radiator sheet metal around the radiator anything else I should be thinking of? Thanks!

337 in my F1
I am sticking a 337 in my 1951 F1 with a Hydromatic.
I am starting to make some custom headers for it, getting rid of them heavy cast iron manifolds. Got the cam reground(hotter cam)
I justed picked up another 337 out of a fire truck, with only 5000 miles on it(Running Condition). Should make a good spare.
If anyone is interested I might make two sets off headers and sell one of them.

Thanks Havi.
I just have the running engine (337) with out the radiator. Really though, I think with the application used on a smaller truck I think the smaller radiator would suffice. I would like to have some one confirm this. I ran mine on a test stand with a car radiator and it stayed cool.

If I don't use the air cleaner, I would sell it to you. The extra water outlets I have, I am going to keep. I will let you know on the Air cleaner.
