'53 F100 query..

My wife and I are making progress with our '53 F100...but now I am stuck, how do you get the clutch pedal off? I have found the nut on the pedal lever by the pivot point under the cab floor, and undone it, but how do I get the pedal off the shaft? Does the pivot shaft push all the way through to the brake pedal too?
I have attached a pic of the inboard end of the shaft, what does the bracket do?

Cheers,
Shane

Alot of times the bolt holding the pedal to the shaft will "burr" the two together. It may take a little extra "Umph" to force the shaft out.

Excellent, thanks

Thank you for that Julie, it is just what I needed!!
My wife has made a lot of progress, the truck is stripped back to the firewall, and the rear guards are off, and yesterday I cut the non-stock transmission support crossmember out that was added to support the olds trans that was installed sometime.
I can post pic's if anyone wants to see them....
I will also have to get a workshop manual....
Cheers,
Shane

Hi, there is a roll pin in the "J" shaped coller that is connected to the clutch "U" shaped metal throw, shown at the left of your picture. Use a suitable punch to knock it out and everything will slide off the shaft, clutch and brake pedals. You can then check the bushings they both move on. Cheers.
