'93 F250 4x2 to 4x4 Conversion

I have been searching everywhere for information on this but i havent found a definate answer yet. I recently aquired a '93 F250 2wd ex-cab long bed with the 7.3 idi and e4od. i have been playing with the idea to convert it to a 4x4 but have shrugged it off everytime because it would be too expensive and i could just sell my truck and buy a factory 4x4. however i have the chance to buy a 92 f250, sc sb, 460, e40d, 4x4, fairly complete, all running gear intact (besides a blown head gasket) for REALLY cheap. my question is, can i convery my truck without doing any serious fabricating? i know the frames are a little different, but i dont know what exactly is different on the 4x4 and the 4x2. also, are the bell housings different on the idi e4od vs the 460? any information is appreciated. thanks.

Because I need the extended cab, and the interior has been gutted including all dash pieces. It would be more trouble than its worth...

The transmission bellhousings are different between the diesel and the 7.5L gas engine.

Someone correct me if I am wrong but, from what I have read on here, the "4x2" means that the truck has a 4x4 frame with 2wd parts hung on it. So, in theory, you should be able to bolt on all the 4x4 parts to your 4x2 frame with no real major issues. Obviously if everything else is identical between the 4x2 and 4x4 trucks.

Suspension setup is different as well. My brother's 94 bronco and my 93 flareside have pretty big differences between the front end.

to be honest, do you need 4wheel drive that much? are you taking the truck off road for fun?

if you have a whole parts truck avaliable, thats 4x4, then it should just be a bolt in swap, i haven't done it myself but i've seen many post about people doing it and its basicaly bolt in swap
