Louisville VIN# decode needed,Please....
I am looking at a 1970 Ford Louisville Cab truck and would like to know some other information. Here is the VIN: n6dbvh55228 .What can you tell me about it? I would like to know the engine size,Weight Cap., What ever useful info you may be able to give me from this VIN.

The SERIES code of N6 should be followed by another number, not a letter. It's prolly N60.
N60 = LN600 (gas).
Assuming the 4th digit of B is the engine code: 300 1V 1-6.
V = Kentucky Truck Assembly Plant.
H55228 = 1970.

Thanks for the info, I will check the Vin number again. I think it is a LN600
I am also having trouble finding much information on old Louisville trucks(1970) model year to be exact, Could someone point me in the right direction. Looking for parts suppliers for steering,brakes and general repair. Ebay is usually a very good source for parts but,not much on there for old L model trucks. Do any parts from the F series trucks cross over to the L series? I am a newbie to the world of commercial trucks and know nearly nothing about them but I like learning new stuff. I have always done all my own repair work on vehicles and I know the small Ford F series trucks quite well. Any help would be great,Thanks.
