Waaah, I want another F100 or F1!

My tile business has all but died over the past 3 or 4 years, which forced me to sell my 55 panel with a factory sunvisor, and a # of other pickups 53/56, in order to survive. Plus my 81 Avanti. Plus my 56 Victoria.

I used to go to the Supernats from '98 to a few years ago every single year, now I can't afford to even visit, let alone have a truck there.

I'm sure that there are many of us, at least some, in the same boat as me. I don't come to this site as much; it really hurts, when you used to have some trucks and had to get rid of them....I just hope all the guys in a similar situation will hang in there so we can get back into gear in the future.

This Forum gives me hope!

Waaaahhhh, trying to stay positive,

Paul

I can somewhat feel your pain. I went through a period of selling everything but the kitchen sink and trucks. I guess I felt it was easier to find a new daily driver than a '48 F1. I wish you the best. They're still out there.....waiting.

I can also understand the "back in gear" thing, as the builds by the guys/gals who were half way through, haven't posted in quite awhile with any progress....Randy, Kevin, Nate, Ewilliam, 53fatfndr, Imlowr2, christopher2, irondragon02, mt54, etc... I just hope they're all on hold, like I am.

I feel your pain. Although I haven't been forced to sell any of my toys yet I'm self employed and business has been bad for a while but it really dried up the last 2-3 months. I have stuff to sell to make a little money but the hard part is no one is buying. I sold some parts a few weeks ago on eBay and only got one bid per piece. In better times I know I would have had at two people bidding them up. I have some truck parts I know are worth a few bucks but I holding out from listing them because I know I won't get what they're worth.

Business is starting to pick up and I've gotten a couple of big jobs in but I'm not going to celebrate just yet. These two jobs might be the only two jobs I get in for a while. I deal only in the industrial sector and everyone pulled the reins about two years ago before the election. I feel they were concerned about which way the government was going and which way they were going to take the economy and I guess they were correct. Hopefully this November will change things and the great leader will be pulled back from totally destroying this country. We can only hope.
