Smile fordfuelinjection.com ?

The donor for my 52 F-1 is a 1990 Lincoln MK VII. I want to run the EFI and I've been told it is faster and cheaper to get an aftermarket FI wiring harness than it is to use the OEM harness. Does anybody have comments and/or experience with the harnesses from fordfuelinjection.com ?

do some searching, if you want to use the stock harness there`s only 3 or 4 wires that need to wire up, fuelinjected.com does show this in their site somewhere.

As long as you're not in a hurry, Ryan does good work. But he has some issues some times and his customer service can be a little slow and lacking. I've "known" him for quite a few years now...as in, know him from another forum, like before he got real big into all this wiring harness making stuff. I've seen people complain about him...and his lack of a speedy reply to their inquiries. So...you've been warned....if you don't mind waiting then go for it.

Thanks for the heads-up. The web info looks great, but having a great website doesn't always me great service. Is it just a one man operation?

I look at the fuelinjected.com page and couldn't find much. My buddies are telling me that it is a huge job to use the stock harness, so I'm getting confused!

I am going to use the harness that came with my 5.0l. Its all there.May need to take out some extra stuff thats not needed like the A/C etc.But all the plugs are going to fit where they are suppose to.Just plug everything onto the egine ,run power to the box and its ready to go.A wiring diagram from the doner car would be a great help as well.I kept the entire harness from the doner car and will use it for the fuel pump, tail lights and headlights, just need to seperate everything out and maybe adjust the lenghts.Just my thoughts on how to do it.

As far as I know. He sources out and has somebody build the harness, but as far as taking orders and shipping it out, its all on him.

And this is just information I'm remembering from the last year or two, I don't know how it's doing now...but I assume its the same operation.

you think a stock harness is intimidating in thought , you ought to see that 100 pound monster snake of a wiring harness out of the 91 bird on the floor spread out , i'm cutting into lil' bits to make the harness for my 53 ................. i think the car had an automatic butt wiper amongst everything else ...... EVERYTHING was plugged in as it were .......... it's enough to scare the bejeezuz out of me when i go to tweak on the 95 bird !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i think half the weight of any new car is wiring !!!!!!!!

The EFI wiring harness and layout on a Mark VII is very, very similar to that of the '87 - '93 Mustangs. About the only differences are that the Mark VII was speed density where the Mustangs were mass air and the Mark VII has the cruise control processor integrated into the ECM where the Mustangs had a separate module. The reason I mention that is because most aftermarket EFI harnesses are modeled after the above mentioned Mustang harnesses. Save yourself $450 and use your Lincoln harness. With a good wiring diagram, it's fairly simple to figure out which couple wires intersect with the rest of the vehicle's wiring and you'll have virtually the same thing when you're done. Last point - if you intend to use the cruise control out of the Mark also, you'll definitely want to use the OE harness for the reason I mentioned above. Aftermarket harnesses won't be set up to transfer cruise signals from the ECM to the actuator.
