trans. would only go in reverse so i dropped it found that the stator in torque converter crumbled when i emptied the fluid from it and chunks of metal came out so i replaced TC put trans back in and it drove fine until a few days later and once again only reverse but then drove fine again the next day can you help a brother out please i got the know how just not enough experience to diagnose

 

The torque converter can't cause reverse only. The torque converter does the exact same thing in reverse as it does in drive. It's impossible for the torque converter to have been your problem.

Now some debris from the torque converter could have gone into the trans and caused the problem. It could also be worn out seals in the forward clutch. Does it engage when you put the shifter in 1 or 2?

 

yep, its engaging all forward gears and reverse, its driving fine now i havent had any problems yet but i havent been driving it much or very far only a couple miles here and there
