Power take-off problem

We have a 92 F350 with a 7.3L diesel and E4OD and need to run a pto since the E4OD does not have pto capability we would have to use the transfer case pto. I have heard that running a transfer case pto with an E4OD transmission can cause temporary computer problems after the pto is disengaged and the vehicle is being driven. I was wondering if anyone has had experience with this scenerio.

Never heard of that and don`t see why there should be any problems. However if you switch the engine off after running the PTO the transmission computer should return to factory settings on restart as I understand it.
