What holds the window glass to the window motor arm??

on my 93 F350 with power windows, my drivers side window seems to be missing whatever holds the window to the motor arm. It lifts up the window fine, but if you try to put the window down, it moves the arm without moving the window until you hit a bump, then the window literally falls down without opposition. I took off the inner door panel and there seems to be a square plastic thing attached on a ball joint on the end of the arm, but nothing else and I dont see how these alone could keep the window in contact with the arm. Any help?

The thing you are looking for is a metal channel that has likely fallen to the bottom of the door. There is a rubber liner that goes inside that grabs the glass and keeps it in place. I never could get a replacement glass to go in with a new liner so I used to use an epoxy thing that the GM dealer had, it looked just like JB Weld when mixed.

Liquid Nails Mirror Adhesive for wall mounting mirrors is another thing that works. Available at Lowes, Home Depot, etc
