6v radio

this is my first post so here it goes. I have a 1950 F1 and have an original 6v radio i want to install in it. Question is, it has a 3 prong plug in the side of it for the speaker wire, how does this hook up to a conventional speaker, are there three actual wires or two? thanks

Welcome to the board.

Did you get the radio with the truck? They're pretty rare items, I have one for each of my trucks.

Here's the information from the shop manual:

I just realized one of your questions wasn't answered.

It's been a while since I had my radio hooked up in my F-2. If I remember correctly there are three prongs but only two are used. The third is used as a key so the connector isn't inserted wrong. To make sure pull the bottom cover off and take a look at the inside of the receptacle, there should only be two wires coming off the inside connections.

Go to Radio Shack and show them what you need. They might have it or something close. Also, unless you're doing a 100 point restoration, you don't necessarily need the exact plug, just some type of plug that will fit as a unit or just for individual wires.
