One of my friends have a 2010 lariat with the chrome package..so, has anyone tried to get rid of the chrome and make it look more like an fx4? is it possible? new mirrors grille etc..

 

Yes, you can get rid of the chrome and paint the pieces. You have to prep the pieces correctly so the paint will adhere, best way is to sand blast and then powder coat. Some things can be bought outright like a different grill, but things like the bumpers will probably have to be redone.

There's been a number of threads on this site an others with very favorable results.
