trouble shooting
Ok, this ford is giving everybody, especially the mechanics grief! 1998, 130,000 miles, diesel f250. We have had bad fuel run through this thing and the tank has been flushed and cleaned, number 1 and 8 injectors have been changed, fuel pump changed and the thing still wont idle, wont get any speed with the accelerator on the floor and wont pull the horse trailer! Temperature seems to play a factor in the idling when it is first started. Once it warms up...etc...it'll idle but very rough, clattery and blue smoke! We have had two mechanics plus the diagonistic on it, reset all and it reads fine...however we have a very, very sick truck on our hands. We are trying to avoid the high cost of the dealership...HELP! Mary

Well mary take the ford car to a best technician who can get it sorted out completely. so that it runs good without any problem causing you again.

Also PCM, ECM and ECU are all terms for the same thing namely, the computer that controls the engine and auto trans (if fitted).
