Welcome to FTE. Couple articles on the front disc. conversion; one in the 'articles/spec' forum: Keeping in mine article is on F250 and believe you will be looking for F100 donor.

The other is an article by FTE member ddavidv:

**Also, topic has come up on several occasions, run a search and narrow the field to the 61-66 forum and should find lots of info.
If you can salvage a donor truck, 73-79, preferrably in same engine family as the 66; thus take what you can use and sell off what don't need. Unfortunately, I did not have room at the time and ended up making numerous and frustrating salvage yard trips looking for the upgrade parts, especially when it came to power steering.

Buy your donor, so you will have all the parts needed as Dave posted. I have done this several times and always sold enough parts that my parts cost was -0-.
You can buy a donor with a decently tight front end, drop the complete axle set from the donor slide it over to the 66 and bolt it right back up and drive it away.
Another thing, when parts are needed in the future, it is much easier to deal with having all from one truck.

We learned long ago not to play that game here because some newbee comes here and thinks it's doable when it not, and we have to splain to them why it can't be done.
