Many guys go to pyp to get there parts. Some buy off CL when guys part-out trucks, and a few more buy a whole vehicle thats not running or to far gone to get what they want then part out / scrap the rest.

There is also the Crown Vic swap. Its more complicated, but gives you lower suspension to boot.

CPP disc brake conversion. Power brake booster and master cylinder with proportioning valve is available and mounts directly to your fire wall. I had to play with the length of the threaded rod supplied though and shorten it. Disc on front kit was fun to install but well worth the effort. For your power steering question there is a rack and pinion setup but I can't remember who came out with it. I got rid of my 64 several years ago now. I'm a 65-66 only guy from here on out. I've also seen a setup that has a bracket and a Toyota power steering geer box, but I can't remember where I saw that setup for sale. Maybe ebay or slick 60's.

You cannot go to pick and pull and do the swap Z is talking about. 65 up only have this luxery.

here is the best way to gain disc brakes on a 61-64 F100....

Deluxe Disc Brake Kits: 1957-1964 Ford Half Ton

the rest is as simple as getting a disc/drum, master brake/power booster (that is if you want power brakes), from a 70-79 f100, along with the porp valve,buy/bend your hard lines and your done.

I did an Aerostar front end swap on mine in 2003. Yes, it changes the wheel bolt pattern, but, if you then do the T-Bird IRS and add the Mustang rear hubs to it (Which I plan to do this summer), all your wheels will match again. The Aerostar is almost a bolt in, I removed the trans/rear motor mount crossmember from the original frame and installed a 351W AOD combo. I had to fabricate motor mount brackets on the engine to fit aerostar motor mounts (Because Aerostars never had v-8s), and I used the trans mount crossmember from a '68 T-Bird (because I had one) but that could be fabricated from a piece of tubing. I did a power brake booster and steering column swap from an '81 F-150 at the same time. Good thing the steering column is a tilt wheel because it would be in your lap otherwise. I'm still refining that part of it because there is an interference point between the fuel pump, steering shaft and oil filter. I have to use the short filter, and I rerouted fuel lines slightly to clear the steering shaft.
A little research will reveal that the stock Aerostar and the '90s T-Bird weigh around 4000 lbs which is the same as my '64 short wide. I have continued to use my truck as a truck and it seems to be sooo much better than it was originally. it handles better, stops WAY better, and works hard as a racecar hauler, dirt mover, appliance hauler etc.
Some pics of the Aerostar front end in my truck (sorry about the dirt and grime, it's been 14 years already!):

Redneck steering shaft and bracket

upper control arm mounts, engine side

Lower control arm, Driver's side

left inner tie rod boot, and steering shaft

made an extender box for the steering column and brake booster

Clearance issues with the fuel pump and oil filter

the stance of the truck with original rear end and Aerostar front end

Left side upper control arm (had to reach around the tire for this shot, sorry for the blur).

I also have a 64 and went with CPP Classic Performance Products front disc brake kit. For power steering I went with the rack and pinion kit from POL Performance Online. This allows you to keep the solid front axle and works great. I also replaced my stock steering column with an Ididit tilt and relocated it closer to the dash which improves the room greatly as anyone who has a 64 would know.

I seem to remember another power steering option that used the electric gear driven steering assembly from a small car. You cut the column under the dash and splice it in from what little I remember.
