Just my opinon, These motors do very well stock and the amount of power you can increase per dollar is not worth it.. There are simple modes that are great like the soup bowl and welding in a $10 piece of tube in place of the muffler for a straight pipe. I do love all the threads with all the custom intakes the members have created but once again just my opinon, the spending 100's of dollars for a couple hp not for me.

that it is bro, that it is! lol. But i can tell you, its more than a couple HP with my exhaust and intake i modified. i hear what you are saying but if no one ever changes anything, no advancements can be made.

you also have to look at the long term gains as well. It brings your pak hp and torque down a fe hundred rpm's. Saves fuel and wear on the enginee. Sounds like a good option to me bud

I am assuming a cam out of a 7.3 will work for the regrind? It would get installed in my 6.9 with new rollers, rebuilding the motor right now anyway. Gonna have a banks sidewinder waste gated on it. How do i get it done?

Im curious about taller ratio rockers as well, and idea that had occured to me a lil while back. Anyone know off the top of thier heads what ratio ours are? Little head machining and i think we could put about any rocker on there.

Next, does anyone know how good our valve springs are to X rpms? Is there a stiffer spring alternative?

Depending on their shape, stock are good up to 4k MAYBE. I've heard of others using stiffer springs but IDK where I read it, I'll go diggin

It sure would be sweet if an existing rocker setup could be used in the IDI. Has anyone looked into this?

they are stronger or more reliable... I cant remember 100%

I have been reading from a couple guys that PSD springs should fit without modification/machine work.
