How do you like the slim sub? I helped a friend install one under the seat of his '92 chevy, but the box was so small, it could barely breath and I thought the sub sounded like crap.
Do you think the slim line subs are worth it?
I don't have any pics and I just took my box apart, but I was running (4) 6" Tang Band mini-subs in a box which was probably close to 1.2 cu ft. I never truly got the box done since it was supposed to only be a stop-gap until I had enough time to build a real box. I was quite happy with their performance, especially on only a 300 watt amp. I'm aiming to add another 4 drivers to the mix and bump the amp up to ~1000 watts.
I felt this was my only option since I was so disenchanted with the slim sub my buddy had and I wasn't willing to move my seat forward.

Good stuff
I like the pioneer slim sub alot, it's got good punch, required box around 0.44 cu space, the box i made i think is around 0.30 cu but i stuffed the enclosure to make up for the smaller box.
Result is a hard hitting, tight bass, and ofcourse now i have more available space in my truck
So definately worth it!
