wind noise

My truck is NOISY. New door gaskets, etc. and it still drowns out the stereo at 75. It's so airtight, it's hard to close the doors unless you open a widow a bit.
Any secrets I should know, or are they just that way?

It could be just the nature of the beast. Is it actually wind noise from the doors, or is it engine and hiway noise. Have you insulated the firewall, floor and surrounding areas with noise dampening insulation. Just an idea.

IMO, they are all very noisy with the stock door rubber. Mine is very noisy also and it has all new door rubber. I think the only way around this is to use a more modern (softer) rubber. I've been thinking about experimenting some with mine next year. I don't know what I'll use yet but I'm going to try something so I can hear my radio...

wind noise

It has dyna mat on the floors and firewall. Not engine noise as much as wind noise, whistling etc. I just put new rubber on the doors. Found it at JF Hagen (local supplier to shops) The doors are sealed pretty good.

I am getting ready (parts are sitting in the bed) to replace all my rubber and seals for just this same reason plus a ton of door rattles. I was wondering does anyone have a link to rebuilding the vent windows for F1's?

I have several different types of door seal material I will be trying on my F1 after all other seals are replaced and I will let you know what I find out. I have some good suppliers of different seals I use for kits that I sell for 67-72 chevy C10's to help with wind noise and plan on doing the same for these once I find the right style, shape density and combination for our trucks. But any help on the vents would be great in the mien time.

I have 3 truck and the F-3 has alot of noise wind whistling, but my coe trucks I could hear a radio if I had one in them... I think it has to do with the door fitting .My F-3 had been roll over at one time and coe the cab and doors fit great.. and the coe have no rubbers on the bottom...

It's a brick moving thru the air - it's somewhere between 62 and 50 years old - it was never ment for pleasure use - it's a TRUCK.

I put all new rubber on mine and it is still kind of noisy. I also used deadener on all the interior surfaces. At highway speed the mufflers kind of drown out the radio but to be honest thats how i like it. lol

It's the rain gutters and recessed side windows, same wind noise that came from my 54 Mainline. You just have to get better ear plugs.
