lookin to do a 6.0 conversion in my truck?

hey everyone, my name is jonathan and just signed up trying to find how hard this will be. like the title says i wanna drop a 6.0 powerstroke into my 2006 dodge ram 2500. hope none of you die hard ford fans will be offended by it, now here's the reason of why i want to do this. as i previously mentioned my dodge, it had just the 5.7L hemi which was a decent motor but not the greatest for pulling. well my motor is now shot as i broke snapped 4 rods in half and bent the other 4 and also blew a hole through the block. i still owe almost 30K on the truck so i'm kinda stuck with a really expensive paper weight for the time being. i would like to drop a powerstroke in it because i love those motors and think their by far the best sounding diesel out there. i realize a cummins would be much easier but around here there is just so many kids who have cummins and think their the best in the world and i agree they are solid diesels as well just want to do something different and prove that cummins aint the god almighty when it comes to diesels. so there is pretty much the story and situation i'm in. now for the technical part. i found some wrecked trucks at decent prices online so now just looking for some advice, input, help whatever you wanna call it. i've never done anything like this before so i will need lots of it. anyway i'll end this long rant now and let some you more knowledged diesel guys chime in as you please with your thoughts. thanks

Welcome to FTE Jonathan.

I've never seen a conversion like this. I hope you'll do a build thread in here when you get started.

I can think of a few, but then this thread would get sidetracked real quick.

Now what would be the fun in that? Especially if he had an auto, he would have to settle for the crappy auto that's mated with the cummins.

well actually my truck is a 6 speed manual but i still wont brag on that tranny, and as far as just droppin the cummins in there, yea it would be a lot easier and prolly cheaper in the end but like previously stated wheres the fun in that? lol, and not to mention that if i got it complete and running good along with a few mods, if it were to out perform some other guy in there diesel especially if they had a cummins, the look of shock and awe would be priceless once they found out it was a powerstroke if they didnt already figure it out from the exhaust.
