SCS rear fuel tank-numberdummy?

The previous owner pulled the rear tank out of my SCS because he said it had a leak. It's plastic. It appears no one makes a replacement for it.

The part number on the tank is D3TA 9002 YC
The sender in it is D7TF-9275-EA.

Do these cross to another application? I might have better luck finding replacements that way...

These parts #'s are wrong. The correct #'s are D3TZ-9002-V 73-77 F350 Super camper special, w/o evap emissions. plastic, 20 gal, aft axle or D5TZ-9002-C 73-74 SCS with evap emission (replaces D3TZ-9002-Y) 19 gal. capacity, plastic

D3TA-9002-YC & D7TF-9275-EA are not Ford part numbers, they are the ID engineering numbers found on the parts themselves.

There are no actual Ford part numbers marked on any parts after 1956, just ID numbers (when applicable).

D3TZ9002V .. 20 Gallon Aft Axle Plastic Fuel Tank / Use without Evap Emission / Obsolete

Fits: 1973/76 F350 SCS & 1977 F350 C/S (Camper Special)-140" wheelbase / Ford dropped Super from the name after 1976.

No Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.
------------------------------------------------
D5TZ9002C .. 19 Gallon Aft Axle Plastic Fuel Tank / Use with Evaporative Emission * / D5TZ9002C replaced D3TZ9002Y / Obsolete

Fits: 1973/76 F350 SCS / 1977 F350 C/S 140" wheelbase.

No Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has either part number.
--------------------------------------------------------------
D7TZ9275E .. Aft Axle Fuel Sending Unit-Use with Plastic Fuel Tank / D7TZ9275E replaced D3TZ9275B / Obsolete

Fits: 1973/76 F350 SCS / 1977 F350 C/S-140" wheelbase / 1978/79 F250 2WD Crew Cab / 1978/79 F350 Regular Cab.

No Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has D7TZ9275E

PLEASANTVILLE FORD in Pleasantville NY has one D3TZ9275B = 914-769-1800.

No other Ford Dealer, no obsolete parts vendor has any.

* With Evaporative Emission: The fuel tank has a round hole on the top of it, that the fuel vapor valve fits into.

A charcoal cannister is used with Evap Emission. Usually this is located in the engine compartment on the right (passenger) side frame rail opposite the alternator.

There will be lines from the fuel vapor valve leading to the cannister. A corrogated flexible paper hose routes from the cannister to a nipple on the aircleaner.

Nope, the fuel tanks were only used on 1973/76 SCS's and 1977 F350 Regular Cab C/S's and 1973/77 F350 Regular Cab Trailer Specials.

All these trucks were on the 140" wheelbase.

The fuel tanks used after 1977 are not the same.

Try: mikestrucksalvage.com, broncograveyard.com for a used tank.

There's a huge longtime truck dismantlers yard in Los Angeles that might have the tank, as they saved everything. P/M or email me for the info.

Hey Bill, the original sender from my mid-ship tank is corroded beyond use. The number cast into it is: D7TF-9275-CA, my local ford store gave me part number D7TZ-9275-C (no stock, disco'd). Found one on ebay with D7TZ9275D, no application listed. Will this fit the mid-ship tank from my '78 F-250 SuperCab 4X4 ?? - Thanks, Trevor
