The harnesses should be the same. But if your truck has PATS(and I'm pretty sure all 2000 models did),you have to deal with that issue.

Are you saying the truck wont start once I change the cluster or I will not have the blinking theft light on the new cluster or both? I prefer not to disable the PATS .

The truck will not start after you change clusters. The PATS system marries the cluster,key and PCM to each other,and you cannot change any of them without reprogramming the PATS system so it will work.

That makes it a bit of a pain.......unless I do the swap in the dealers parking lot.
Is it possible to have ford disable the pats system then I could swap the cluster and then have it re-enabled?
