Power Steering Pumps/stiff steering

I have 33" BFGs on my 92 F150 and the steering on that is a lot harder than on my 95 F250 with stock tires. Does the difference in steering have to do with the tires or are the pumps between the two vehicles different as well?

I am really wanting to know if the power steering pump from an F250 will fit on my F150 and if that will make a difference.

Go to your local auto parts store, and order A1 cardone part# 20-6244, it will cure all of your power seering woes. Make steering easier, kill off the ford whine, and last forever. Its the saginaw style pump that chevy used for years with an adapter to bolt to your stock ford bracket. You may or may not need to order the high pressure hose from a 79 F150 with it though.

So if I go into the auto parts store and say, "can I have an A1 cardone part# 20-6244" they will know what I am talking about. This part, A1 cardone part# 20-6244, is not something I am familiar with. I just don't want to get the funny looks.

Its the part number for a power steering pump that replaces the origional ****ty Ford design these trucks came with. If you get a parts person that half way good you should be golden my friend.

BucksTrucks suggested I buy a A1 cardone part# 20-6244. That part# doesn't come up fitting my truck, but others do. So I am still confused on what to buy. I think this will work but what I am confused on is whether to get the part number suggested or the one that comes up for my year truck.

How old is the front end? Rusty ball joints, lack of grease will make steering pretty hard....
