2005 F250 6.0 Oil leak passenger side block

Ok guys, truck was running great since the last round of fixes, this afternoon I noticed the truck would turn over 2-3 times before it would fire up, figured it was low voltage from sitting for almost a month, ran it today, got the oil changed at the dealer, went to a job interview, visited with some family and after leaving their house when I got on the interstate i noticed that there was a little haze behind me, went to he next exit and parked at a gas station, shut the truck off and inspected, oil all over the undercarriage (I was checking trans first as there was a very delayed 1-2 shift after I left family, I figured it was the tune).

Popped open the hood and oil is all over the passenger side engine bay, even puddled up on the lip of the fender, some spatter/spray at the top of the valve cover and lots below, oil all over the AC components and dripping down to the frame from the block.

I fired it up and looked for the leak and saw that oil appears to be coming from the ICP sensor or where the sensor plugs into the rail, or where the valve cover seals to the rail.

ICP sensor was replaced within the last 10K miles, passenger valve covers were off to replace a failed injector less than 1K miles ago.

Mods:
4" turbo back
SCT x3 tuner, usually set to the 50HP tow tune, currently set to street tune
blue spring mod
EGT and fuel pressure gauges
Scanguage 2
ARP studs
EGR delete

Check if the icp sensor on the passenger valve cover is still there... Could be the dealer broke it off when doing the oil change or it just failed. Not sure I have heard of a physical failure before.

Not at all uncommon to see a physical failure, which is why so often it ends up trashing the pigtail as well.

I'm curious if it is the ICP, was it an OEM sensor or aftermarket Shanghai special?

Sensor was still there, felt tight as well.

I believe it was OEM.

Seems to be the ICP, went to the gas station where i parked it this morning and after about 15 seconds of cranking it built enough pressure to fire the injectors and she fired up and ran as I pulled her onto the trailer.

I might get up early and run into the dealer and get another ICP and throw it in there and see what it does, gotta be home most of the afternoon anyway.

Replaced the ICP today, O-ring was shredded, not sure if it was under torqued or the O-ring was nicked when we had the valve cover off, ended up losing less than a quart of oil.

Over and under torquing both can do an O-ring in at the pressure on that rail.
When you go to clean up the oil mess don't use a pressure washer. Just something
to breakup the oil and a garden hose to rinse it off. Be careful around the back
of the glow plug module. It does not like water. If fact you might unplug it and
appl some dielectric grease to the plug before you wash it off.
