ac compressor bypass

thanks, I did see these were an option, and a good one, but so far I have not been able to find one for the 4.9 (I'm guessing because you can bypass the compressor by belt rerouting according to the diagram under the hood), it was suggested i just get a rebuild kit for the compressor clutch then I have ac again (no big deal here in VT). I'm not familiar with whether the ac has to be recharged or whatever they call if I take the compressor off

Really all you need is the A/C pulley bearing which can be got at rockauto.com (assuming it is not your compressor that is seized in which case all you need to do is unplug the wiring connector).
Plan B is to take the belt off, get a lenght of string and place the string around the pulleys as shown in your diagram, then measure the string and get a belt of that length.
