Oil rail question

I've been having a ton of problems with my early 03 and it failed the bubble test while cranking horribly. I just got the oil oring kits and oil rail cups w the new orings and tool to remove the cups. I took the drivers valve cover off and my oil rail doesn't look like the one in the tech folder. Mine is pretty much a straight rail. My question is is the kit I got from Bostech going to work in this rail?

Yes, it will work. The Nipples are longer on the late style versus the early.

The bubble test has nothing to do with the oil rail. Your injectors are the issue. Either bad injectors,, or improper torque.

Pull the glow plugs 1 at a time and see when the bubbles go away. You need an injector oring kit, possibly an injector. Once narrowed down to which cylinder is pushing air pull that injector. If the Orings look fine you need a new injector. Torque the injectors to 28 ft lbs. Make sure the old copper washer comes out on the old one and oil or grease the new o rings going in.

Yup, got it, just figured while in there I'd change the cups w new o-rings on the rail. I'm doing the new o-rings and washers on the injectors as well.
