Pics of new dragster, not FE but worth the look!

I told you guys that I intended to switch the FE out of the race truck and put the blown alcohol hemi in. Ended up getting a whole new car. This will be nice because I can drive the car while I build the truck.

There are also a couple of pics of the truck in there too, so it's really not off topic!

Hey Russ,

I'm pretty sure the entire chassis is moly. It was backhalved recently so it could run a lenco or a powerglide. It's got the Mike's glide now.

The hat is an Enderle Big and Ugly. It sticks up farther than a bird or Buzzard.

I am going to get my feet wet right here at our little strip. I doubt I can give it all She's got, but at least I can get some cheap seat time, and not embarras myself when I go to the strip in Salt Lake City.

I don't know which bore/stroke combo it's running yet. 4.375x4.375 or 4.31x4.5. I'm gonna pull it apart soon to check everything out, so I'll let you know what I find. The guy says it got a new crank, rods, pistons, pins, valves, springs, and re-stripped blower 17 runs ago.

All I bought from him was the car and some consumeables. Belt, plugs, sensor wires, and a couple of new pullies to speed up the blower if I want. The fuel system will be sent off to Spike Gorr over the winter too, so he can set me up with a tuneup for here and one for SLC.

The only thing about the car that I don't like is they let it sit in Oklahoma for 2 years and didn't oil the chassis. So I'll be spending the winter knocking a patina of surface rust off parts of the chassis. Oh well. What else do you do in Wyoming in the winter?

That's a really nice ride. Very cool Hemi and all the best with your new racing venture. Keep us all in the loop on how it runs. The shop looks great too!

Darn....you're right. My son says that all the time....I should have known. And then I see on the net the youngsters using "uber" whihc I think means "super".

So,, it's an uber swell, awsome, sick dragster.

I do like that supercharger. I must tinker with one of those some day. Ever since I saw "Road Warrior", they've impressed me.
