what does the injector module do. I did find the PCM, got the part number its the YC3F-12A650-AVA. Question though, when i contacted the dealers they all said the part number is YU7Z-12A650-AA. Anyone know what the difference is. I'm going to order the one that came out of my truck but just curious.
Also, apparently i have a chip in my truck, it doesn't look like a diablo but it definately is an aftermarket chip. What should I do with that. do I just plug it into the new one or don't even try it?

Not sure why you need a PCM as you did not say what the problem is you are having with your truck. First thing is to remove the chip and see if your PCM is good by installing back in the truck. Until you get your truck running correctly I'd leave the chip out.
The IDM (as I know it) take the 12 volt power and turns it into something like 120 volt power to drive the injectors. The PCM sends a signal to the IDM to open the injector. There are other things that happen but that is the basic explanation. The guys here know more.
