Talking Just Another Day With The Excursion (Part 2)

Hi Guys

Had an emergency trip to the grocery store, don't know how I would have managed without my 7000lb 4x4

Regards

I got ya beat!

The other day I was able to haul 4 new Bilstein shocks and a Roadmaster Activer Suspension System to the servicve shop who installed them for me. Only had to make one trip too!!

With a Suburban or Tahoe, it would have required 2 trips.

I did miss it. Went and found it just now. I found my biggest improvement was when towing my 8k lb travel trailer. Lane changes on the freeway are fun now, too ....

I'm looking at 24 to 28 foot campers as we speak. I suppose I will see one of the real advantages to the Roadmaster soon.

And I haven't had to do any sudden lane changes..... yet. I'm sure that's in the cards too.

I will say, the mechanic who installed the system had nothing but praise for it.

I love the picture. That would really stir up the hippies and greenies up here.

ha ha m8 , thats too much though , when our element blew in our oven , i had to go out in ours (only 5 miles mind you) for a 45Amp fuse

are you loved down in Somerset m8 with all them small roads, i know i create a small problem here ,eg.. taking up 4 spaces at the local store , just so i can swing out again. and going round the back streets in the town is just another problem

great for the airport runs mind you i have found that we can get all 10 of my family members in , and 18 pieces of hold luggage .

Skullonarm - I dont really care what the hippies and greenies say about the size , i filled up the other day (150 litres) and it cost me £158 iro $260 at todays exchange rate , so i think we have paid enough in TAX to deserve it.

BTW Dereck...if you need any small spare parts bringing back and are not in a rush to get them , i go over to the US a couple of times a year to my florida vacation home, so i can bring em back to save shipping fees if you like. nothing too big mind you , i brought back my rear brake discs (rotors) last time in my luggage allowance.
let me know

Hi UKMat71

I know what you mean about taking up four spaces at the store I do the same thing and have still been hit

Done the airport run as well

Thanks for the offer to collect spares but I got that pretty much covered alltough I did recently lose my USAF contact

Take care

No way a smart car would leave that much damage. :-)

Good to see you have some protective matting down. That cargo looks like it would be pretty abrasive on the interior.
