i put the new stake pockets on but mine were gone. so i don't know what to do were the tail gate hinges go. anyone got a pic of this area

But remember mine is a late 51 so the clasp arrangement is a little different.

Also, just food for thought, the hinge pin bolts share function with the tail light brackets.

On some trucks, the brackets are mounted directly onto the hinge pin bolts. On some trucks the tail light brackets are mounted on ehole up and on some one hole down (meaning there are three holes going through the stake pocket. So, note in my pictures that I have 3 holes and that th eupper one gets a rubber plug in case I mount a different tail light bracket. As of now my brackets are using th etwo hinge pin bolts directly.

so i just cut the flange off there and here i thought it was al rusted and made patches for it thanks julies your the best
