Lookin' sweet. We've all had that happen before right? Where you think "well it's 4 bolts to swap out the seat, I might as well just do a frame-off while i'm at it."
If it was mine, i'd keep the flathead, no question about it. If I couldn't put the flathead back in it i'd put in a 12v Cummins (sweet).

Wow, you got be one fast worker. I was wondering about the frame as well. Is it a F1? How are you going to graft the front suspension to the frame? Be sure to stablize the frame before you start welding. It looks like the frame is narrower than the suspension mount. I guess a flat piece of steel could be welded across. You'll need to box the front part of the frame to keep everything stable. I'm concerned the track width and ride height might be future problems( unless you got that worked out already). I'd go with the EFI engine, you need plenty of power for the size of that truck. Good luck, keep posting. Need help, just ask. Lots of good people on this site eager to help.

Sweet truck! From the pictures, the truck appears to be quite solid. I love the looks of the old commercial trucks. Personally, I would keep the truck 100% original, with maybe a few internal engine mods. If you chose the path of using a different engine and/or suspension, you might consider using a complete rolling chassis from a modern commercial truck to save a lot of fabrication time associated with the Lincoln parts. Which ever path you chose, good luck with your project and keep the pics coming.

I am still using the original F-4 frame and have not removed any bracing it seem very very sturdy. If you jack up the one side of the bumper the other side comes right up with it so I would think it would be ok. The mark viii front sub frame will actually be a brace its self once bolted on also. To remove the subframe on the mark viii was only 8 bolts and when its removed the motor ant tranny comes along with it very neat system. the front subframe includes, motor mounts, power steering, sway bar tie rods front hubs just all one big unit that includes everything needed to drive and steer.. it will be a bunch lower but i have plans for some truck tires to raise it a bit and for the rear im going to adapt some super singles. but for now im just going to run the Lincoln rims. weight shouldnt be an issue. I can pick up the front end by my self. the mark viii weighed 3800 lbs dry and a little over 2 tons loaded. im sure ill have some more issues the more i progress.
