Steering Ram Seal Kit

I've seen on older posts a list of dealerships that still had the D4TZ3A764A seal kits. Can someone please check to see if there are still any left? I've tried NPD and local dealerships with no luck. I have 3 of the cylinders, but they all leak due to age.

Thanks.

Good luck I am told they are not rebuildable so I am saving my pennies to do a power steering conversion on my truck.

The last i heard Greensales had a few left, not sure if they still do though, i see them listed on ebay on occasion, the cylinders are rebuildable but they need to be cut open and then welded back together.

Lares Corp used to have an exchange policy for the stering parts. I purchased a rebuilt steering gearbox, cylinder and control valve for my 76 F250 4x4 a few years ago.

How many of these seal kits are remaining in the parts inventories of Ford Dealers and obsolete parts vendors?

None...that's why it's 80 bucks.

There's an old saying: "Obsolete parts are hard to find...if you snooze, you lose!"

just some helpful info... there is a place in denver called truckford parts, i gave him my leaky cylinder (bendix type). He outsourced the work (and obviously wouldn't tell me to where) but had it rebuilt, new piston and seals for 175 bucks. With a 1 year warranty, works great.

I need the complete, ready to just attach to the axel and tie rod steering assist cylender for a 76 f250 highboy, mine is leaking and the chrome on the travel shaft is worn away some right where the truck would be steering straight down the road. Dont think just seals would help me anymore.

Steering assist rebuild

Red Head Steering in Seattle rebuilds the unit. It was not cheap, but they did a good job on mine.

I know this is an old thread, but I just wanted to brag for a second about finding a D4TZ3A764A seal kit for $30.

My cylinder leaks and I'm going to tackle trying to reseal it.

In the process, I'm going to try and source new seals that will match up to the ones in the kit.

I'll keep you guys informed about what I find....
