what is the best inexpensive code reader for a F150 2001, 4.6?

Any code reader will get the job done. As you add features, the price tag goes up. If all you want to do is pull codes, just get a $100 unit from your local parts store. If you want scanner and scope functions, expect to spend a lot more.

Wanting one that will pull codes and do diagnostics while the truck is moving.
