What would you do to a C6 before you bolt it up?

What would you do to a C6 before you bolt it up?
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 06-Sep-02 AT 12:27 PM (EST)]I got a C6 from a junkyard that I will bolt up to my 77 F150. I plan to put a B&M shift improver on. Is there anything else you would do to it? (Besides completely rebuilding it. Though it probably needs it! 
) Also what would be a strong differential to bolt up because mine is shot! 
I dont know the ratio but a three speed manual was on it before.
