no overdrive?
I seem to have lost the overdrive in my 96 AOD-E tranny. Works fine until it trys to shift into overdrive and then it defaults to neutral. If I turn the overdrive off everything works just fine. Oil doesn't appear burnt though level is a little high (same level as it came out of shop after shift kit install). I'm hoping this is just an electrical problem since the tranny works fine with the overdrive off. Any suggestions or possible solutions would be greatly appreciated.

I'm workin on my 4th AODE in two years.. They are junk. My second one wouldn't go into overdrive either... Something about the overdrive band....Depending on how high your fluid is, you may want to drain some out to get it to normal level and see what that does..
