DUI Distributor for a Y Block ??

We are checking to see if there is any interest in us building a DUI(HEI) Distributor for you Y Block guys?

If enough of you indicate interest, we may begin producing them.

IF you could make a dizzy for less then $300 that was electronicly triggered with adjustable mech and vaccum advance that used a stock type cap and roter. No funky optics or brain boxes. Give me a coil and two wires.

YES.

The funky stuff is junky stuff.

Seems to me the're are enough choices out there a for electronic dizzies. I've been plenty satisfied with the Petronix conversion in the stock '57+.

Go to Y-Blocksforever and repost the question.

Personally, I'm working on doing a Duraspark conversion on a stock rebuilt distributor. The Duraspark trigger in the distributor body can be attached to an MSD controller.

There is a new intake manifold being fabricated that is tuned for street use. It might be worthwhile to check its fit with that new intake.

That would be the most reliable ignition for the Y-block. Parts easy to find and no clutter. I would be interested if I decide to run a Y-block.

for around $300 I would be interested too...

GM HEI was was one of the best ignition systems out there...
