Banks turbo back exhaust question

I installed a Banks turbo back system years ago which retained my CAT. I now want to delete it.

I searched around and cannot find a company that makes a specific delete pipe for this application. The pipe tapers from 4" after it comes down from the turbo to 3 1/2" (CAT pipe O.D.) back to 4" to the rest of the exhaust. The pipe needs to be 18" in length and I prefer it is a slip in stainless pipe to avoid rusting.

Has ANYONE done a CAT delete with this same system?

I would rather not cut or weld anything off or to the exhaust since I may need to reinstall my CAT if smog regulations hit CA

Thanks

I wonder if this muffler delete would work:

I dont think it will. Unfortunately the pipe has to be 18" long 3 1/2" diameter (to slip inside the banks 4" like the CAT does) or flanged like this one 22"to fit OVER the existing 4"....I'm bummed. I can see it's going to be a chore locating one. I guess I could go to the local muffler shop and have one made.....maybe?

It's ok. I wonder if I should have the muffler shop make me a slip on pipe that will fit over the 4" banks and clamp on? I guess anything is possible if you got money.

Elite Diesel has the cat delete's but they don't show any specs on them. I'd try a muffler shop, however, go to a mom and pop, to me they'd be less likely to ask questions.

Be very careful even with the mom and pops. If somebody happens to catch them removing the cat without putting it back fixed or a new one, EPA can shut them down for good. Here there is a good muffler shop(if you watch the show Trucks! it's the same people that they show doing custom exhausts, ironically they are a small operation though) and they will not touch the cat for a delete, they will weld a pipe in it's place, but someone else has to get it out there.

I would just take the measurements and specifics as to what I am trying to accomplish. I have a place that takes care of all the civil servants in our city @ pretty good prices.
