Rust Behind Cab Corners
I am getting ready to redo my cab corners on my 79 F350 4x4 and notice that I have some serious rust to the area behind the cab corners. I don't know if this is part of the rocker panel or the inner cab area. Do they make repair panels for this area or am I in seriuos trouble? Thanks!

Try lmc truck, they have quite a few patch panels for these. You can also have some made or make your own. I made a panel for the underside of the roof and it wasn't all that hard, just takes some time.
You might look into fiberglass mat mixed with Por15. I saw a demo of a battery tray that was full of holes and fixed with fiberglass mat that was coated with Por15. It looked great and added some real strength to it.

Karljay - I used the fiberglass mat on the bottoms of our doors and although it gave it the strength, what a mess. The bodywork involved to make it look good was worse than grinding it off and welding patch panels in. The fibers show way too much for exterior repairs.
We used it on the floor boards and couldn't be happier. Definately added much needed strength. Main difference is we are planning on covering the floor with carpet so the fibers showing through once repair is complete doesn't matter. I imagine it would work just as well used on the interior of the cab corners since the exterior would need to be bondo'd anyway.
Like you, we saw the demo, and it made too much sense on how it works. It actually does work, but I don't recommend it in places you plan on having visable.
