If you have a f150, I am sure it will fit. I am assuming you must have a f250? Punch it in and see what you get. I got the above info from Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market. I punched in "wiring..." that was at the bottom of the list.

It might. Make sure you enter that at the site. That site will automatically do the interchange for you.

The 9008 Bulbs use a metri-pack 150 connector for the harness side. I used Delphi's when I did mine, the contacts are rated for 15A, so I am not worried about bulb draw. You can pick up the body, pins and plugs for around $7/pair from mouser. in my second link, there is a write up for the 05 conversion when I built my relay harness and list part numbers for the connectors.

I noticed you upgraded from an 02 to an 05. I already have an 05 so should the xlt lights fit in after the old is removed without cutting?

also why would you need a relay when the headlight unit is 12v anyway?

Yes, you shouldn't have to cut up the header.

The relay draws power from the battery rather than from the battery, into the cab, through the headlight switch and back out. It's a shorter path with less voltage drop and more stable 12v power.
