tall valve covers will they fit

There have been a number of guys that I've heard of that have used the stock height valve covers with the roller rocker arms, and they've worked ok. The only issue is that if they don't clear, you might have to remove the baffles inside of the valve covers to provide the clearance. The drawback to this is that the breather might get dirtier faster, but it shouldn't cause a huge issue. It's not a perfect fix, but it's a potential solution.
Myself, I'm going with the tall valve covers as I don't have that heater box in the way, so it shouldn't be an issue.

different makes
Different makes of tall valve covers so you may be able to find what you need that will fit. I have a 79 F-150 with a 460. Ford Racing tall covers on it, and a new brake booster because they did not fit with the stock one. I could have returned the ones I bought and got another type but I had already drilled filler and breather holes in them, so I was stuck with them. I think you are "wise" to find out your clearances first as it costs less and is way less work that way.
