I was through the toll booth a couple of days ago and if I didn't slap the crap out of my side mirror on the concrete pillar.

Well, of course, the mirror folded up (like its suppose to), but the glass popped off.

I bought a replacement mirror glass, and it's a bugger to get on.

Any tricks?

heavy duty 3M tape? I mean, it doesn't screw on or anything.

 

gentle but firmly press it on there
the retainer kinda looks like a sharks mouth wide open...can't think of any other way to describe it. these metal fingers slip over a round posty thing.

are you referring to the backing plate or just the mirror taking the dive
