Question on mirror

While driving yesterday, I apparently hit something with my passenger side mirror. I looked over and saw that the mirror had folded in and the glass had popped out. Upon closer inspection, it appears as though nothing is broken yet I cannot get the glass to pop back in. Thoughts? Is this fixable or will I have to replace all or part of the mirror?

Funny I see this today. My wife hit a limb yesterday and the mirror is fine but the plastic cover is gone.
I'll look and see how it's put together tonight.
