Fuse problem in 2001 F150 xlt
My #15 fuse in the cab keeps blowing as soon as I put one in. The truck wont come out of park, the domelights wont come on and the windows wont roll down, Ive disconnected all the window motoors to see if thats the problem, but the fuse keeps blowing. I dont have the owners manual, so I dont know what all is connected to that fuse, any help would be appreciated

Owner's manuals are available for download from Ford: www.fleet.ford.com under Maintenance.
Replace the brake pedal position switch. It's probably burned and shorted.

im not sure exactly what the #15 fuse goes too but it sounds like you have a short in a wire i had a problem similar to this in a 93 mustang that i had. what i ended up having to do is just follow the wires coming out of the goes out side of the fuse. normally you can spot a shorted out wire cause it will be burnt and melted. once you find the wire thats shorted the way to fix it is just run a new wire in its place and connect it right in the old ones place.

yeah its me agian i was reading in another thread and i also looked in my manual. in my 97 f-150 the #15 fuse is for the gem module. and in the other thread it was talking bout some similar problems and that they had replaced th gem module.

F15 is a 5 amp fuse that supplies power to pins 4 and 16 of the GEM, as well as the brake pedal position switch and the brake pressure switch.
So, the possibilities are a windshield leak that has gotten water into the GEM and shorted it out, the afore mentioned brake pedal position switch, and the brake pressure switch out under the hood on the front end of the master cylinder.
I would look at the brake pressure switch to see if it is wet with brake fluid. If it is wet, leave it unplugged and take the truck to the dealer for the cruise control recall to be performed. If it is dry and the recall has been done, then take a look at the GEM for water damage.
Good luck!
