aod and np208

i am working on rebuilding my 84 bronco and am puttinga fi 302 and aod trani in it. i wanted to know what i will run into trying to mate my np208 to this trani. i do have all the parts that came out of the bronco (c-6 trani, np208,drive shaft ect.. ) any info would be helpfull thank you

Is your AOD an 4wd version, if not you're going to have major problems.

no it is not the 4x4 version. but looking at it and doing some testing it looks like i need an adator to fit the extension housing from the c6 on it so that the t case will fit and i might have to get either a new output shaft for the aod or new input shaft for the trani as the output shaft on aod is just a tad bit small for the teath in the input shaft.. any ideas? thanks

You need a 4x4 output shaft for the AOD. You also need a 4x4 extension housing for the AOD.

You can't use a 2wd transmission with a married transfer case without some serious modifications. Make it easy on yourself and get the parts that fit together from the factory.
