Hi every one,

I've been driving gasers for years and just 2 weeks ago picked up
an 08' F350 sc 4x4 6.4l w/3.73's and have been reading and searching the site.
Some good stuff here but as I read some scary stuff too.
Just over 500 miles and nothing to complain about.
The window sticker indicated it's a job 1 so this has me a little
nervous, but just wanted to say hello
But, this is a truck for sure, can't believe I never owned a diesel before.

 

Hey congrats and don't worry too much about problems. You'll here a much higher percentage of problems here on the forums that what it is really like. People with problems will tend to come looking in the forums for answers which makes it look worse than it is. It is like that on all of them. Seeing as you have an 08, a recall for a reflash has been issued by the sounds of it. A thread has been started on this topic. Oh, welcome to the forum as well, I see it's your first post.

You will also want to check the recalls, there is one for the fuel tank and the Venturi T for the degas/radiator.

I did the recall on ford's site and said there is nothing at this time!
I figured there would have been something after reading some of the
post's here

 

Hey deadbug,

I got my F250 Job 3 SD in August. Less than 2000 miles right now, but we love the truck. As others have said, be sure to check the recalls. Ford did a pretty good job on this truck.

I've habd a 1,2 and 3. 20K on each and no problems. Mpg sucks on all three. Just make sure you have the most recent flash. If your deler won't do it tell them fire shoots out the exhaust. haha
