6.4 off to a bad start

Everyone is just giving you a hard time because you mentioned that the chevy was better on a Ford site. The truck you are having problems with would be no different if you had bought a new Chevy this year. They also are having some issues but your situation is not the norm on a Ford truck. I tow over the mountains and the only time it has a lack of power is during regen. They flashed the pcm and I have not had that happen again going over the pass.

Better informed
OK I got it now, blame it on the time difference between the US and here. Fords are excellent trucks!!!! I have a fully restored (paint / interior)1988 Ford F150 XLT Lariet with the original engine (239000 miles). Everything works and the engine never had the heads off and transmission hasn't been touched other than fluids. A/C still blows cold. See I'm a Ford supporter............ My personal car is a Mustang with 140k, no problems with it ever. That is why I guess I'm so initially disappointed.

problems
Any vehicle can have problems, the biggest POS that I bought was a 01 GMC 1500, truck was 1 year old and both window motors died, wife had to
drive it home with the drivers side window down after paying for parking at the garage when it was 0 out, after that truck wouldnt start when it was cold, also air / fuel manifold leaked causing it to run lean and melt. cat. When you say your wife doesnt want to drive the new truck people probably get a little jealous, like me I cant even afford that truck never mind let it sit because she doesnt trust it.. Drive the vehicle and get AAA..

My wife is what I call a Texas Girl, (and my friends call a keeper) when we met she was driving a truck (Ford) and she has had one ever since. (read in we have been married a long time) All she wanted for her last birthday was a utility trailer. Her hobby is doing construction (porches, decks, sheetrock, flooring, plumbing, she has remodeled relatives and friends houses). I said hobby because she doesn't take any money. So she uses a truck as a truck. She also becomes attached to a truck so after she bought a travel trailer and then figured out the chevy didn't have the power to tow it that is when she decided to buy a F-250. The dealer offered very little on a trade so decided to keep it and she didn't want to trade it in anyway. The 88 is another story for another time.
Regards..............ED from Russia (Ain't no american pickups here)
