Broken lumbar support

My drivers seat has the turn **** to adjust the lumbar support. However when I turn it, there is no effect. At the bottom of the back of the seat upright, a spring is pushed out against the fabric. I am sure this is the problem but I do not know how to fix it. Is this something best taken to an upholstery shop? Or can you suggest a repair.

Thanks.

With the age of your truck about the only suggestion I'd have is to see if you could get another seat from a boneyard and either swap the parts or the backrest. You should have a shop that does only auto upholstery either in the Akron/Canton area or I'd think for sure in Cleveland who might be able to provide some guidance. You might have a situation where the backrest from the salvage seat could be used with your bottom seat and the shop would stretch your cover over the other backrest. Or perhaps they'd just use your covers on the entire salvage seat. I have my doubts that a boneyard would sell you just the broken parts you need unless you are lucky enough to find one where the bottom part of the seat is already gone or is damaged.
