B2

I just filled up this morning at my favorite Sinclair Station (Domestic Oil) which usually carries B5. I looked at the sticker on the pump and saw they have changed to B2. Is there still enough lubricants in B2 for the injectors or do I have to start using an additive?

I have heard that b-2 is enough for lubrication, but I feel more comfortable using b-5....

That's exactly what I thought this morning when I saw the sticker! I will still purchase from them since there isn't another public gas station that sells BioDiesel.

I guess its better than not having any bio at all? I am lucky and have a b-100 retail pump not to far from my house so I usually buy 5-10 gallons at a time and mix accordingly when I get fuel...

There are diminishing returns with the lubricity added by Bio-D. See pg. 3

http://www.biodiesel.org/pdf_files/f.../Lubricity.PDF

This page indicates that B2 is the optimum blend for lubricity wrt the amount used.
