Dp-Tuner 80hp PCM

I just got my pcm back from Jody at DP-Tuner, flashed with the 80 eco setting. I am blowing a ton of black smoke after 2000 rpm. The power is great. My question is in regards to EGT's:

I do not have an EGT gauge. Should I be concerned with EGT's that are too high?

Also, can I put the pedal to the floor for a 1/4 mile worry free?

I plan on getting gauges but for now I want to be able to enjoy this tune.

Truck Description:
1999 (early) F-350 SRW
7" of lift in Front
4" in back
37X13.5 R18 Mud Grapplers
5" downpipe staight exhaust
80 eco PCM flash

Unless your towing a load, you are under the 1250 degree limit when you mash on it.

i don't know about that. I put in an EGT gauge before I sent my PCM off so I could compare. the 80 econo makes them climb fast.

not everyone lives in the same climate as you. i can get over 1250 in the hot days here just mashing the pedal.

Nice truck man...I love all the Black SC LB's ive seen so far and urs is pretty sweet looking!

Like chris said unless ur towing or heading up a very steep hill I wouldnt worry but should try to take it easy till you get that Pryo in there....all it takes is once and ur *****ered.

I dont have the PCM flash DP but I do have the F5 tuner that I upgraded from the TS Performance 6POS chip I had in there and my EGTs have dropped around 150 Degrees just by switching to the DP.

you guys from CO and WI should not say "don't worry" like that. you're giving a false sense of security. if he drives easy, then yeah, he shouldn't have a problem. but that won't be easy.. you know- we all went through that.

no offense, but you don't live in the same climate as everyone else.
