the ford lightning only makes i think 5-7 psi of boost. and the turbo is mounted under the bed, i think the 454 will win. and for alot less cash spent out. the 454 they basilcy just put aftermarket heads and cam, the ford got the turbo/mass airflow conversion/larger injectors and an upgraded fuel pump. as much as i hate to admit it the Chevy is more practical now an 460 in an f150 and a couple bolt ons would make one bad truck. trucks isnt near as good as when stacy was in it. his new show gearz is good. and truck U sucks big *****

oh, they put in one of those gay in line turbo setups on it?
Thats so lame. Those things are just garbage.
granted 5-7 is more boost then it had before. but, tahts still crap.

a 94 lightning should have had MAF on it though. I don't see why it woudlnt'.
Unless they didn't do MAF systems till 95, but i'm sure they had them after 92.

They dont have MAF on the 351 I belive till 96. The 302s were in 94. I really miss the old Trucks. Anyone remeber that Bronco Stacy built? I would love to own that. I saw on one show that he said most the stuff he builds goes to the crusher. Pretty sad.

well they bolt the sponsored parts on them, and then they just take them off and crush them if nobody wants them.
Depends on what he builds.

The scrambler thing he built probably got crushed.

Putting a MAF on it was mistake IMO, they are limited in the amount of air they can
measure/pass-through. A Speed Density (non-MAF) system is harder to tune and keep in tune but has
more HP potential...especially at higher boost and RPM's.

They had to go a MAF because an after market PCM wasn't in the budget.

BTW: There is no substitution for cubic inches.....The Chevy will win.

He still has the powerwagon, bronco and copperhead. The ****** he built was at Barret/Jackson I believe....the others I could not tell you.Alot of the builds are on the sponsors vehicles for Sema, show ect.

I have watched Gears a few times...he was better on Trucks I think...still good though. He does alot of cars now..thats why I rarely watch Horsepower,it should be called "How Many Mustangs can we build in a year"

Nice one ron.

Yea, an SD System would have worked better for what they tried.
The problem is, if you dont do any computer adjustments, the SD system woudln't work.

They should have spent the money on a new camp and lifters instead of a turbo.
If they would have ran a paxton instead of a turbo, that as well would have worked better.

They had a SD system before they added the MAF...shoulda left it off.
They still had to do a ton of computer tuning as it is with their MAF/Turbo system.
IIRC They kept going lean @5000 RPM even after 3 pulls...that we know of.
