barometric pressure sensor
A barometric pressure sensor is not going to have a vacuum line to it, A manifold absolute pressure sensor "MAP" will have the vacuum line. Both Are very like on the out side the diffrence is that the bar sensor has a nibble on the air input of the sensor, this is so you can't just slip a vacuum line on it. They both do the same thing for the EEC IV but in diffrent ways. Was this more then you needed to know?

barometric pressure sensor
Just to get this right. A barometric pressure sensor, which the 2.3 dosen't have, is the thing that has three wires and another little nubbin on it. I have one on the harness for a Escort GT engine. When I pulled the harness for the 2.3 I couldn't find this unit. So Im assuming from the posts that it is built into the MAP sensor attatched to the engine.
So to make a long story short, there shouln't be any sensors that would be needed to run the engine that was not previously attached to the engine.
Thanks for all the help.

barometric pressure sensor
It is fuel injected and does have what looks like a mass air flow sensor between the intake and air filter. I was looking at a turbo 2.3 and was told it has a VAM that looks similar to what is on my engine. It also has a separate barometric pressure sensor. This is why I thought I would need a BPS and just couldnt find it on the donar truck.
